Feeling isolated and disconnected?
You want to connect, but too often your efforts end with you feeling more alone. There are so many miscommunications and hurt feelings. You’re trying to be authentic – but it feels like you’re not heard. People don’t really see you. The last thing you want is to set yourself up to be hurt again.
Your plans and interests are little comfort when you feel so isolated and disconnected. And trusting others seems to come with so much risk. Know that this is not how it has to be. You can have the relationships and experiences you want – not simply settling for what is available. But maybe right now you feel lost and unsure of where to turn or even how to begin to feel better.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming but you might be surprised how quickly you can settle into the safe space of our sessions. You deserve to be heard, empowered, and respected. I seek to make even our first therapy session feel seamless so you can look forward to this as part of your regular routine. I am there alongside you in your therapy journey to help you navigate the challenges.
Create real lasting connections…
I’m looking forward to meeting you. I want to learn who you are and how you experience things. What is important to you – and what is not working. We will talk about what struggles you’re having today while processing the traumas from the past that are impacting you. In the safe space of our session you will find for support and compassion allowing you to pursue self-acceptance and set achievable goals for yourself.
Our sessions are a time in the week for you as one of the most important parts of self-care. You are the driver of our sessions, focusing on the therapy goals you decide. We’ll explore all angles of what you are dealing with. Through our work, you will get to a place of self-acceptance and emotional well-being – giving you the confidence needed to create real lasting connections.
Our sessions are safe space for you to talk about what’s going on. We’ll process how you feel and through this process you’ll gain insight, grow and make the changes you want to make – when you are ready. While therapy sometimes can mean talking about painful experiences and traumas – my goal is that you will look forward to our sessions as we are working on creating the change you want in your life.
More About Me
I have a special interest in working with young and emerging adults as well as those struggling with life transitions. My clinical experience and interest has centered around those working through trauma, PTSD, and anxiety issues. It is a true honor helping my clients navigate a difficult time in life, whether due to a tragedy that has changed their life significantly, or due to a new chapter they are beginning. Life transitions include divorce, relationships, moving to a new place, starting college, beginning a new job, becoming a new parent, or navigating a health issue.
I approach the therapy session as a curious engaged participant. While sometimes the work can be difficult and painful, I work to ensure that view your sessions as a positive experience and important part of your self care routine.
I am currently accepting new clients. I look forward to talking with you, please contact me and schedule an appointment. My practice is limited to telehealth, and I am open to working with anyone in the state of Illinois. Sessions are conducted via a secure HIPAA compliant video call platform.
