Life is full of changes, some more challenging than others.  You keep moving forward, but sometimes the anxiety or distress you’re experiencing feels like more than you can tolerate.  You want it to be different. Your feelings are normal, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t holding you back.

You know that your life doesn’t have to be the way it currently is. It is a privilege that you share your life with me, and I recognize the strength that it takes to reach out.  It is an honor to witness your authentic self emerge.

Through our work you’ll overcome the feelings of anxiety that hold you back.  We focus on you discovering and getting to know who you really are – not who you are expected to be.

You are the expert in your experience – I take my lead from you.

I won’t ever act like I know more about you than you do as I truly believe you are the expert of your life. I look forward to learning from you and how I can help you overcome the challenges in your personal or professional life. I help people who are feeling overwhelmed with their ever-changing lives and conflicts within self. I work to address and normalize feelings associated with the anxiety and process of change.

I work in a collaborative, open-minded, and empathic manner that assists you create the changes you want and rewrite your life story to one that feels most true.

More About Me

I believe the therapeutic relationship is a collaboration of interpreting and reflecting on one’s life and figuring out ways to address obstacles and finding opportunities for growth and improvement.  I also help clients integrate their sense of self and who they are with how they live their lives to promote authenticity.

My clients are working through various issues including anxiety, depression, medical conditions, trauma, and interpersonal issues. My practice is informed by an integrative approach utilizing concepts and techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness-based therapy, and narrative therapy.

Although I enjoy working with adults of all ages, ethnicities and gender identities, I have a particular interest in working with people of color and those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.

I am currently accepting new clients. I look forward to talking with you, please contact me and schedule an appointment. I am seeing clients in our downtown office as well as telehealth, and I am open to working with anyone in the state of Illinois.  Telehealth sessions are conducted via a secure HIPAA compliant video call platforms.
