You want more from life, but keep finding yourself in the same patterns.
Life isn’t as satisfying as you know it could be. You crave real connection, but relationships leave you feeling lonely or misunderstood. Maybe you’re thinking, “I’m tired of going through the same thing over and over again. Why do I keep ending up in the same situations?”
You want to understand why these patterns keep happening, feel more at ease with your emotions, and have more choice in how you respond. You’re looking for someone who gets how you feel and can help you make sense of what you’re carrying.
You may want more ease with your emotions, relationships that feel safe, and more freedom to speak and live your truth rather than pleasing other people.
You deserve to feel heard, with time to build trust.
Going to therapy may seem daunting, especially if opening up hasn’t felt safe before. You might worry about being criticized, told what to do, or not being heard.
It takes courage to be vulnerable, and I feel grateful for the trust you place in me when you share your inner world. You’ll have time to get comfortable and see how it feels to work together, without pressure to share before you’re ready.
Sometimes you may need a sounding board and a quiet, compassionate presence. At other times, another perspective or a small change to practice between sessions can help. There’s room for humor, too—even when we’re working on painful things.
Bringing your mind and body into relationship.
Sometimes talking helps you understand an experience, but you still feel caught in familiar reactions. Body awareness, movement, and meditation can offer additional ways to explore what’s happening. Together, we’ll find the balance of conversation, body awareness, and movement that fits your needs, feels comfortable, and helps you move toward what you want from therapy.
I’m an LCPC and board-certified dance/movement therapist with a master’s degree in Dance Movement Therapy and over 15 years of experience in that work. My approach also draws on my study of trauma, attachment, Somatic Experiencing, and mindfulness.
Making more sense of your life, with compassion for yourself.
I work with adults experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, mood difficulties, and painful relationship patterns, as well as couples. I also bring extensive experience working with artists and athletes, and personal experience in those worlds.
Together, we can explore how your history influences your life now, approaching patterns that hurt you with clarity and compassion. There can be relief when your feelings and experiences begin to make sense—and more room to choose how you want to live.
I am currently accepting new clients. I look forward to talking with you, please contact me and schedule an appointment. My practice is limited to telehealth, and I am open to working with anyone in the state of Illinois. Sessions are conducted via a secure HIPAA compliant video call platform.
